Today I was scheduled for a ride up the NYS Thruway for one of our leadership meetings with the HVWP team. I don’t always make them, but when I’m not away, when I’m not double booked and when it isn’t snowing, I’m on the road even if conditions were not perfect. Today the fog was heavy, the rain present and the world felt gloomy. But it was a bargain to have high temps!
And it was a double bargain to arrive at 9:15, certain that the meeting would begin at 9:30 and only to discover that I was wrong. Mary had pushed this meeting start to 1:00 weeks ago but the change it didn’t stick with me. My first instinct was to turn, scream FUCK and get back in my car for home. But no, I’m a rational adult and I sat down, grabbed up my phone and started texting Mary, Tom and Jackie and what a BARGAIN, everyone adjusted their schedules for me and we began the meeting at 11. And it was a good one.
So even though we had to live with gloom and even though I did begin in error… we were able to keep on going…
Good Bargaining… not such a thrilling challenge today 😦 Fits with the gloom, I guess.
Bargain… hey wait, … I am considering a new Kindle, and a bargain if I grab it now. Hmmmm.
We could turn things around 🙂
What a bargain and it didn’t cost you anything! Love the foggy photo, looked that way here for the last week. Now the fog is gone and our mild temps, instead we have bitter cold, sleet and snow.
At least it isn’t below zero like here. No fog, not enough moisture; our snow is like dry crystals. Glad you made it all work, Bonnie. I have a new Kindle Fire & love it so far!
I am so thankful when others are flexible. Love the smiles despite the fog. No lasting snow yet, but coffee sure helps the teen temperatures. I know you are behind the camera, but I love seeing your smiling face too.
