I am waking up to this and I don’t mean to rub it in that many Slicers are not. I feel just a tiny bit guilty that I’m not home, sharing another morning of clean white everywhere. It was a great thing that yesterday morning we were up and out with the young, freaked out taxi driver at 5:30. He was not looking forward to the trip until we were on the ramp and heading south on New Jersey’s Garden State Parkway. All we saw was lovely black pavement under us to coordinate with the early morning darkness.
We arrived at Liberty airport in record time, checked our bags curbside and headed in for coffee. Of course the snow was beginning to stick and once we arrived at our gate we joined the crowd watching the snow cover the planes and take-off lanes. But still our departure remained- ON TIME! And in usual United precision we checked in and took our seats and then we waited for our turn for a needed deicing… but we were off without feeling the icy snow combination below us.
Three hours and some minutes later we arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico and even with a bit of a sprinkle to greet us we were off the plane, no lines of customs, just bags waiting and a taxi to take us to the downtown Marriot.
And here we are ready for our first full day of beach. I have Tuvia to thank for this. He needed to get away and how could I let him go alone and I am focused on making my OLW come alive often.
Wish we were writing slices here together…
Don’t feel guilty! Enjoy every moment of your sun, sand, and water-filled holiday!
You bet! Coming back home on Friday so I’ll be ready for the snow we get next week.
Beautiful pictures, Bonnie – thank you for allowing us to bask in blue skies and warm sunshine…vicariously!
Wish you were here 🙂
Beautiful, Bonnie. I wish I was writing with you too!
Same here Deb.
Absolutely lovely! How I wish to be there too. Snow is headed my way and interrupting my work. Soak up some sun for me 😄
Will do Elsie 🙂
Yep. I wish I was there. But don’t feel guilty. Enjoy every minute.
Will do 🙂
Oh boy, that looks grand. Enjoy!

It’s just what we needed, Haddon.
Yum and wow and always soak it up. I know you always enjoy your travels. xo
I so very lucky and appreciative.
Great pictures. Nothing to feel guilty about. Have a great time!
OKAY!!!!
Maybe next time! So happy for you & Tuvia & that plans made were plans that happened! Feel a bit of sand for me, Bonnie!
It will be my pleasure, Linda. Stay warm and cozy.
You can share the sunshine with us! Your photos always tell a wonderful story! Enjoy the beach (that is not frozen)!
Thanks Jaana. Nothing frozen here except the mudslides, Pina Coladas and Margaritas
If you run out of ice, I am sure we could send you some!
Enjoy…Mother Nature has piles of more white headed our way….touch that hot sand with your toes and think of us tomorrow morning!
I hear you. My first walk is for you Anita.
No guilt allowed – just pure delight!
