I can’t say it hasn’t been a great March, but it sure has been busy. Good thing the first week gave me some time to work on the Welcome Wagon setup for the team and the new Slicers. After that, it was hit or miss for me, without a regular schedule for commenting on new slicers or old. At least I have been getting in a slice-a-day even on travel days.
For the last two days, I’ve been here with Ellenville High School’s English and Social Studies Departments. They have been wonderful to work with. Really wonderful and we have more to come in April and May.
So I’m home now for a few days with a concert at Carnegie Hall tomorrow night with Tuvia and a double bill of Israeli movies at the Burns Film Center on Saturday. I should be able to make a dent in the commenting side of the marathon, but for the last week, I will be on the road on Tuesday, working with high school Science teachers in Highland Falls and then I’m off to DC for an NWP annual conference to meet with Congressional reps, advocating for the future life of our writing project.
So, it will be a wild last week for me… Oh and there was that little trip to Cancun for the second week, but thankfully Excellence knows to have wifi everywhere on the grounds.
I’m not complaining, just shaking my head in wonder.
You have been one busy lady! Just what you need to keep the juices flowing.
Hey, wait till I retire 🙂
YOU SURE DO KEEP BUSY. I loved the Cancun images but I also adore all you do to assure that literacy learning will persevere in spite of the CCSS!
It’s nice to live in both worlds even if it does make you feel a bit nuts.
busy, but happy too, it seems! Have a wonderful weekend, Bonnie!
YOU TOO 🙂
Thanks for going to DC and advocating for the writing project! I wish you luck!
