Friend Power: Slice of Life March Marathon Day#30

I missed Laurie’s 60th Birthday Bash because it exactly conflicted with my return home from Cancun.  I remember getting the evite and hoping that I would be able to be there but I seem to work from excess holding my breath when I have another event to add to my calendar.  I would have loved to be there to celebrate Laurie’s 60th and welcome another friend to my club 🙂  I’ll be 65 in August!

I haven’t seen much of Laurie in the last 10 years, since my retirement from full-time teaching and I miss her.  Our theater  collaborations taught me so much about why theater offered me what I was missing in my English department.  But even though I couldn’t be with her and this great looking group of  Laurie’s women friends, look at the gift Laurie had for me!

Another meet up is on the way, we just need a date to add to the calendar that both of us can live with.

  1. My girlfriends and I turn 60 this year! Find the time and have a celebration with your friend . . . 60 is worth celebrating!

  2. Friends are important! One more celebration is always extra fun! P.S. The post that I wrote today was inspired by your post where you wrote a letter to Eileen. Thank you Bonnie!
