I’m not on my Own!: Writing into the Day #6 #nerdlution15

I just finished a new digital piece and in the halo of feeling CREATIVE (OLW) I was ready to move on to a new project. But as I was finishing that piece my eternal hard drive was sending me messages to torment me: You are running out of Disk Space! Either clean something off or cancel your new downloads.  What???

I was almost done, don’t do this to me!

I started moving video off and out- some deletes(what?), some projects moved to my computer…NO!!!!!

In my panic, I clicked to Amazon.com and ordered a new drive, just like the one I was using. Soon I’d be walking around with twins.

So, with my Apple One-on-One, I was back in in the Apple Nanuet store in an Open session, with everything, and a bit more, to set up my new drive and clean up work world.

I knew that the woman who was scheduled for this session was not going to be able to help me, but give it up to Apple and their flexibility.  I had Hank on his way to a break standing behind me, ready to help on Final Cut.   In 20 minutes I was set up with my new drive and enough information to get on with a new project.

So what’s the lesson here?  No matter how many years I’ve been at this, I still need support and engaged conversation about how things will so be changing in our digital world of storage for video etc.  A dynamic world!  I love it!

On to a new project with my hours of classroom visits.
