A Prince of a Dog: #Writing into the Day#8

Meet Prince Kaplan, the newest member of the family.  One week after his beloved Phoebe left him for doggie heaven Prince arrived from the Canadian border after his master died.  Both dad and Prince needed each other and even though the doggie energy makes me crazy during our weekly visits, give it up to Prince for partnering with my dad.

Of course, Prince took to me and went after anything I had in my plate first, I was not enjoying the attention.  As kids we always had dogs in our house but my brothers were more interested and even though I enjoy a cute puppy in the street, Tuvia just smiles, when I imagine owning one.

I’m so happy for my dad but I have a feeling that Tuvia knows that a dog will probably never partner up with me.
