Snow Silence: #Writingintotheday #20

There is nothing like snow on a good day when even what’s scheduled can be moved and that’s how it was today.

I took breaks from my night of sleep to visit the bathroom and the picture window in the living room as the snow fell and grew slowly and by 5:30,a silent white wonderland without the usual race of motorcycles and determined cars.  Silence, sweet.

I grabbed my iPhone and clicked away but that couldn’t be best I could capture so I moved to my real camera and captured so much more.

I was in love and sat quietly with an early cup of coffee just watching from everywhere

Heavenly… and then the day began slowly, with the weather reports, breakfast, the shovelers, the NY Times, and finally escape to the diner.

But right now, back with the backyard snow to my left, I’m remembering the early morning snow in its silence.

  1. This just looks cold to me. I am a southern girl through and through. I wish I could sit next to you with your coffee and enjoy the silence. (With an extra pair of socks on.)

  2. This is the way to enjoy a bit of snow. There is something magical about the silence that comes in the early morning with freshly fallen snow. I will enjoy your pictures and be thankful this snow missed us. 🙂
