It’s 11 PM and we are glued to the weather news detailing the preparations for the BIG STORM approaching!
I have canceled everything planned for tomorrow, rescheduled for later in the week. I can still breathe freely, as long as Sunday continues to look sunny when we really need calm skies for our flight to Cancun.
But for now, I’m filled with good food and more important a great day with the Kaplans in Ellenville with my dad, cousin, brother, sister-in-law, nieces, baby Eliana and a supportive Tuvia who watched me move down the long diner table and pull up a chair beside the center of attention- yes, that 9 month old and bonding with Annie B.
Of course, I knew dinner, later, in Yonkers would be adult time so I was right where I wanted to be, talking goo, goo and chewing along on biscuits chewed with love,(ugh-wonderful).
Tuvia was happy to drive back home. I was happy to nap.
One hour out of his car and then back out and into my car and off again for another meal, another opportunity to catch up face-to-face with my brothers, sisters-in-law, Dani and Cliff.
It’s an exciting time in our family as we get to know three new members and continue to find time to freeze family moments in the same place in time is a challenge.
Exciting…and exhausting… and thrilling as I move back to watching more weather.
I still love SNOW DAYS,but I think I need to make a trip to Fairway tomorrow, don’t you think?
Family and food, a great pairing!
