We are home and even in the chill of a very cold morning it feels good to be in the familiar. Tuvia still enjoys a sleep but I am too ready to kick off a fresh start in daylight even if I’m loving my screen light for writing.
It was a short time away- 4 nights, 5 days, but as we packed yesterday after breakfast we were both on the same page, ready to get back. Well, I refused to give up my shorts and sandals until we boarded the plane, but once I made the transition, there were no tears. Well, just a few.
It was an easy travel experience. Easy checkout from the hotel, smooth ride to the airport, surprise upgrade to business class for the flight home. Lines moved quickly through customs in Cancun and we were on and up to sky on time even with early morning snow back home. We were back on the ground in 3 easy hours and once again out with all of our luggage in record time. Yes, it was freezing and it was not easy to communicate with our taxi driver but he got us home with ease.
Tuvia needed to unpack before anything else and he left me to make my first cup of home coffee, grab a familiar Stonyfield yogurt and watch some American Idol, Hollywood Week.
Ahhh…. HOME…. HVWP virtual meeting this morning at 10. Maybe I’ll take it in my pjs.
Being away is a great break, but comforts of home can’t be beat. Plus your timing was perfect. 🙂 How great to get a bump up to business class on the flight! You are living a charmed life..
