Acclimating to Paradise: #sol15 12/31

I know what you’re thinking- Seriously?  Acclimating to paradise? Just dive in!

Well it was easy to strip down to shorts, tees and sandals but taking on Mexico’s heat, now that takes some getting used to,

but we are working at it.

One of the wonderful things about Excellence Playa Mujeres is there’s lots of gorgeous spaces, inside and out and we know them all. So we move with our beach bag from space to space.

Tuvia is very sensitive to the heat and needs time to move slowly and I make sure to stop often and keep him in my sights.

I have brought with me my list of things to do and given that there’s internet everywhere, and I can do a lot on my iPhone I’m not so anxious.  I even started to read and comment on Slices, but I still need my laptop for my own Slice writing.

I’m reading The Children Act, by Ian McEwan and I’m inside the head of his protagonist, a female family court judge in London who is intense in her work and now intense about her husband’s sudden declaration that he needs an affair.

What a perfect place for reading without guilt or distractions.

So we are well into our first full day and so happy to be back here.  There’s something so authentic about the staff.  Many remember us and we haven’t been here since last March.

  1. Just so you know, Bonnie, we had hot weather here as well. Why, it even got up to 50 degrees. 🙂 Would you believe that Kathy and went out yesterday and I actually left my coat in the car. The pictures are great. Hope you and Tuvia enjoy yourselves. Have fun.
