It was another very full day and I’m wondering if I will see Tuvia again before tomorrow morning. We have been racing since I got back from my workout session with Anthony at 9:30, changed and got back in the car for a ride up the Thruway and the 17 east to Ellenville and lunch with Dad at Jenny Lynn’s diner.
And if that had been the end of the racing…
But it wasn’t… just the middle of the day but the race to get back to New Jersey for a concert at Tara and Scott’s neighborhood church to watch a performance of Hayden’s Creation was not just something else on the calendar. Both of us were looking forward to it, and Scott had some solos as well.
Good thing I was driving and we opted not to stop home for a change of clothes for me and we thought about the need for gas and calculated a faster pit stop if we asked for $15.00 worth and paid in cash.
With the wind at our backs and empty spaces in the parking lot we arrived with minutes to spare and seats to grab in the center of the space. I found Scott in the sea of singers and Tara and her kids on the other side of the aisle.
We were comfortable and able to space out in the beauty of music and the environment. Perfect to be able to stop racing and for the next hour and 1/2. Scott was sang beautifully, the orchestra and choir did Hayden justice.
And then dinner with the Scotts and great conversation and what more does anyone need in life?
Of the four of us, I’m the only one who can wake up comfortably and get ready for a 10:00 guitar lesson and gym workout next.
I can stop racing… maybe write an early slice and dig in and read slices and comment.
