Nice morning start today after a good night’s sleep: a gorgeous sun rise and I just got off the phone with James after one of our marathon chats. We would have been off much sooner if you had been here, way sooner. You never understood marathon phone conversations but for me, I have embraced them again for needed sources of communication.
Big night ahead T- the Iowa caucuses and sadly, it looks like The Donald will be running away with the Republican vote. On the Democratic side, Hillary is running neck and neck with Bernie. I love the Bern, but I don’t think he can be a viable candidate to take on the Donald in a national election and I do like Hillary, I always have. I know you do too. Fingers crossed.
Ami is back and last night we met in Hoboken, spent time catching up and headed out to meet Leora and Ron for dinner. Sweet to be back with the family but the ride home was tough as I passed our exit 165 on the Garden State. It was a hard ride home, so hard that I confess, I missed my exit, and was forced to ride across the Tappan Zee and then turn around in Tarrytown to get back home. Crazy, I know. In fact once this happened a few years ago and I never told you. But now, you can know everything. You know everything.
Yesterday, Sunday, was filled with sunshine, even a spontaneous walk with Jane at the Pier. Again, I couldn’t help but remember what a rich history I have at that Pier as a Piermont resident before you, then with you and now without you. It still keeps me smiling, allowing for great conversations.
Yesterday was balanced. I’m still miserable without you and trying hard to make the best of it.
Sending you my heart,
