Rain coming? We need some but this has been a wonderfully sunny August/September with early morning cool, afternoon heat and then cool returns in the evening.
This week I was up and out walking at the river, meeting my book buds for engaged conversation and rich dark coffee at the Art Cafe. Guitar practice that’s almost music and some Hebrew, duo lingo style.
Yes, I do know that it’s always better to be up and out early… but not tomorrow- Hebrew,at 9:30, when Rivka arrives virtually. Just Rivka and me and yes, I’m at it again, dreaming of the first chunk of conversation I can understand at the Rosenberg family table and maybe one day to be “in it’? Hope so.
But have I been at peace? Peace?
I’ve been sleeping, dreaming, waking without your tears.
Year 2? Could there be sometime to that?
And I did find a book to chew on- When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. I still keep wondering if a book I like, is one that you might enjoy. Over our 20 years, I’ve learned that experimental novels, that move back and forth between time, between character points of view drove you crazy. But this memoir seems like a perfect combination so far ,between a focus of science and medicine told a compelling story/memoir of a young medical doctor who discovers his own rare, terminal cancer. He writes his story well… Yes, it would have been a book we would be sharing.
Peaceful…
Where did peaceful come from?
Just one week ago I was dismantled.
Is it the power of the human spirit, the optimism that lives within me? Your love?
I can’t say why I feel this peace, but I’m going to enjoy it for as long as it lingers with me as I watch Hillary’s lead tighten.
NO TRUMP!!!!!
Peace.. I need to turn off MSNBC and get back to reading.
Love you forever, T
Bonnie S. .
This fills me with such hope. Thank you.
I hope the peace continues for you. What a joy it would be to understand Hebrew at a family dinner!
My goal
Your post reminded me of the William Tell Overture – after the storm comes the peace.
peace is a destination…
