Morning T,
I’m up at 5:30, coffee #1 and half an English muffin with a bit of almond butter digested and on the couch with Bill and Hill. A sacred day my love, but it’s not the same without you. How wonderful it was to have a partner to passionately share presidential elections with for 20 years. As Obama won his first I was booking a room for our journey to his inauguration. No, I’m won’t be back there without you, but fingers crossed, I’ll be right here watching Hillary be sworn in as the first woman president, for both of us.
Soon, I’ll be in the shower and dressed for my walk to the condo’s polling place a the bottom of the hill. Scared. Shared.
What a crazy, tense election season it’s been. I can’t say that I worked hard enough for Hillary. Somehow without you making those phone calls just didn’t feel right. Sorry!
Good thing I welcomed my first overnight guest last week and stayed distracted some of time, but I hooked James on MSNBC and then spent Sunday night with Ami glued to his very large screen surfing from on channel to the next and I was the calming influence, feeling openly optimistic.
I’ll be with Jane and Michael tonight at La Fontana holding my breath for one last night hoping we will be celebrating.
I may be freaking out about the future of America, but you and me, we’re solid.
From one political freak to another,
Bonnie S.
Love your perspective and voice in this slice. Here’s to being finished with holding our breath and on to the celebrations!
Fingers-crossed with you, my friend. Let’s do this, Hillary!
I was up and out at 5:45. Voted. Done. Let’s get this done!
Almost over .. and then, there will be no smooth sailing even after … sigh …
Kevin
I hope to be smiling with you by the end of this long day of waiting.
Love that HOPE pic. I’ve always loved voting. This year, I can’t wait till it’s over. Here’s to HOPE.
Hoping too, and hooked on MSNBC too, will be watching most of the day. What a time this has been. Hope Tuvia is sending his best wishes to us!
#imwithher Let’s do this!
I have hope…but my fingers are crossed, too!
I admit that I will be happy that the tv campaign will be over. This election is certainly one for the books. Here’s hoping that whoever wins will always act in the best interest of our country.
Stay solid, BK. And feisty — that comes across in your voice, too.
Thanks Brian. Too bad we have these election results
