Evening T,
Just got back from a movie at the Mall. Same movie I slept through yesterday with Leora and I missed most of it. Probably I wouldn’t have raced back to see it so soon but Leora, a demanding movie goer, was totally engaged with it so back I went today with fingers crossed that I would not need to nap and I DIDN’T. Got it all and like Leora, I was totally engaged with it maybe even more than Leora.
I was stirred in my mind and excited enough to jump around in my LazyBoy. I only wished that you had been there with me. I didn’t watch in a veil of tears, but as I left the movie with so much to talk about, I just couldn’t talk to myself and expect to feel that you were responding. Sorry, I’m not that imaginative.
But without giving too much away, here’s what I loved about it. First, there’s Amy Adams, in the lead, a favorite of your as well. She, with her passion for languages and her strength of the protagonist to lead the way, made a deep connection with interesting aliens and the knowledge passed to her is a burden but with the great work of the director and camera we move back and forth between present, past and future, engaged with her in figuring out the connection.
Thumbs way up, T. Here’s one that you would have loved.
Miss you in the darkness…
Love,
Bonnie S.
