Morning T,
Lights Up and welcome Tuesday! A new day is always welcome in my house, especially now that strings of blue and white lights frame windows in the living room, kitchen and bedroom and fresh candles glow in the fireplace and on every shelf of my wall unit. Yup, trying hard to make the most of the season of lights without you.
Months ago Andrea suggested that we join an NYC meet-up with photogs to spend at day in NYC riding on a chartered bus complete with a bathroom, and walk the city with cameras in hand. Hmm…: Macy’s windows, a walk through Central Park ending at Lincoln Center, an evening stroll down 5th avenue with a stop at the tree at Rockefeller Center, all climaxing in Brooklyn.
Hmm… returning to a city we loved together for 20 years without you.
I said yes and together Andrea and I spent the day riding around the city with a group of serious photographers bent on capturing NYC with their heavy bags of cameras, lenses, filters and tripods. We traveled lighter but it was great to dust off my Nikon and hang it from my right side, always making sure that I had Andrea in my sights as both of us got lost in our viewfinders. Oh how you patiently waited for me on our walks and I captured our life journey.
Yes, Sunday was a mixed bag. It was great to catch up with Andrea and tricky to be back there without you. It’s always a mixed bag in this reconstructed life…
But then Monday, arrives with a bit of ice in the early hours, delaying my guitar lesson, but melting in plenty of time to allow for dinner with Tara for quality time for reflection…
Living…processing…worrying about coming Trumpland.
Life’s a mixed bag…
And now… for something creative.

Happy Holidays,
Bonnie S.
I did love the pictures you posted, Bonnie. I’ve only been to NYC once and loved every bit, so it was great to see winter and Christmas pics. Glad your ice disappeared quickly! Have a wonderful day!
Come back❤️
NYC is an everlasting playground of inspiration, Bonnie. I loved the way you captured it. I am definitely excited about your project and will send you a reply with photos. I was wondering if you have a photo for my Autumnventure Gallery or an imagepoem. I am working on this now.
Hmmm send me more info about that

I love New York during the holiday season. It is a few years since we have been there at this time of the year. Thanks for sharing the pictures, Bonnie.
Wonderful selection of smiles, Bonnie. Thanks for plucking these bright lights from the mixed bag.
