Letters to Tuvia Y2: Signposts (1-3-16)#sol17

Morning T,

Welcome 2017!  (sort of)

Personally I’m ready to start  filling  in the date of a check with 2017 and I’m ready to pack my bags and travel to Berkley, CA to learn about Virtual Reality Storytelling  and one month later to get back on a plane for Tel Aviv.  I’m ready to get back to the gym and say no to the dessert more often.  Yes, I’m ready to embrace my present and future even if you aren’t here to walk with me into these new life challenges, but what will be hard is saying goodbye to Obama and hello??? to Trump.

Eight years ago we couldn’t stop talking about our trip to DC for O’s inauguration. This year I’m traveling to NYC with Tara on the following day for a nationwide protest march against the coming of Trump. #notmypresident. I’m back at the start of Nixon and Bush but it’s so much more frightening.

But on a positive note, I’m feeling so good about being back in my digital world.  I put out the piece above with the love and support of Slicers and friends from so many life experiences.  Thanks to everyone who joined in.  I’ll be back as we finish this year once again.

#s0l17, YES!!!!

Bonnie S.

PS. So far I haven’t found my #OLW for 2017.  I am trying on: motion, create, reconstruct…etc. Maybe they are all the same for me.

  1. I remember feeling so excited in 2008, feels like ages ago. I won’t be at the march except in spirit and won’t stop fighting for what is right, Bonnie. Thank you for being there! And have fun learning in CA. Sounds great!

  2. Hi, Bonnie! Given the crazy writing challenge I’ve taken on for 2017, I think y OLW will have to be WRITE!
(Oh, remember how it felt going to DC 8 years ago? It was cold, but it was fabulous! Different today, for sure.)

    • So Fabulous! I had such a crush on Obama. Tuvia did too. Amazing how times have changed. Now I’m planning the travel details to march in NYC on the 21st. Can’t be in DC. I need to preserve O memories.
