Evening T and Slicers,
There’s a slice I’d love to write tonight but I need to get back to my morning writing rituals and I’m saving my magic key slice for the morning. For now, here’s a sweet slice of good news.
After a Friday celebrating my dad’s 96th with my family, today, thanks to Facebook reminders, Leora and I quickly transformed her brunch into a birthday celebration for Ron. I was bringing dessert anyway. All I needed to do was grab was a candle and I had 5 to choose from.
A Sunday morning ride into the city, a parking spot right on the street, just steps away from Leora’s building on west 16th St, and a wonderful meal created by your very grown up granddaughter, appreciated by all 3 of us: Ron, Lori and I. And for dessert, my deep chocolate cake from Old World, that satisfied both Rosenbergs and Ron’s lady.
Thanks T. Missed you today and every day…
Love,
Bonnie S.
Sounds like a lovely impromptu celebration!
It was Dana ❤
Celebrations in the company of those we cherish provides a life force. I know that drive in NYC. Did it many times. Thanks for the lift into the city Bonnie.
My pleasure Alan
Celebrations are always a wonderful way to enjoy a Sunday.
What better way to spend an afternoon than with family and food.
Food looks lovely!
A quick treat and family – a nice way to spend a Sunday!
I sure could use some chocolate cake right now. 😃 Great way to spend the day. Can’t wait to read tomorrow morning.
You’ll get a mention 😍
Yum, that chocolate cake sounds good. Serendipity always makes me smile!
Sweet Sunday- you made us feel that way. It is just the kind of day, too, that makes you wish the one who usually was there would have been again.
