Shabbat Shalom Tuvia and Slicers,
Tonight I dined back at our place with Hilda. Bone Fish still warms my heart and my stomach and I can be there without tears. We’ve been eating there since 2007, can you imagine and there and now, we are treated with care.
As I sat with Hilda tonight looking out into a very business room of Friday night diners, I saw us everywhere. Flashes of our life at Bone Fish… and then I turned to the present as my drink arrived with edamame, then a house salad, salmon for my entree and then cappuccino for the drive home, to my house.
I was okay, T. Hugged often by staff members that discovered me at an usual table.
So good to be back home, moving back and forth between present and our rich past.
Thank you Tuvia for our life together.

What a lovely post Bonnie…a wonderful tribute to your love, Tuvia and to the folks at Bonefish Grille who obviously love you very much!
“Moving back and forth between present and our rich past.” I love the blend of loving the past while living in today. I’m so glad that you can visit this restaurant where so many remember you and Tuvia and hug you when you show up.
I love the phrase moving back and forth between present and past. Lovely.

I'm glad you were able to go back to this favorite spot, that you could be there remembering and being present, that the staff saw you (saw you). So glad for those hugs — so kind, so caring, so full.
Moving back and forth between present and rich past…yes, that’s good.
The past is always with us as we move into the future.
