Letters to Tuvia Y3: An afternoon of romance for the heart and soul #sol18

Evening T,

I’m home, fire’s burning in the fireplace, apartment is squeaky clean, coffee is brewing after an early dinner.  I’m in  the glow of a movie that after an in-depth conversion with me you might not have loved but you would have appreciated my emotional engagement with it.  Hey maybe this version of beauty and the beast might have allowed you to suspend your sense of reality.

I’m remembering when we watched Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth, Sure you sat politely but it wasn’t for you.

That aside, this was my second time with this film and given that the new Lazy-Boy seat that make it even harder for me to stay awake, even with a great movie, and as much as I loved the film that first time, I was sure I didn’t see enough of it.  I didn’t.  So much better the second time around.

I’m not sure the couple sitting next to me felt the same.  Way too much talking and laughing.  Ha!

It was wonderful to see Guillermo relish his recent Golden Globe win, even with that obnoxious background music started playing to ruin his moment.  He was unintimidated!!!! Applause!!!!

I am home.  My heart is full.  I’m tearing up a bit but that could be from the news that Diane Feinstein released the transcripts of the testimony from Fusion GPS, inspired by the Pentagon Papers released to the public and the new Trump tell-all.

There’s so much reality to process that an afternoon in dark movie theater watching a romance develop between a lovely mute and a sea monster- be still my heart!

I wasn’t planning to write today, but I had to and it’s a Tuesday. Now to the Fusion GPS papers and guitar practice.

Bonnie S.
