Morning T and Slicers,
Year 11! I an original Slicer and proud of it even if I was often traveling in March and the hunt for a strong wifi connection made it difficult to get my slices written and posted. I wonder how that pressure added to my slices. This year wifi will not be a challenge so no excuses, maybe my slices will lack beach energy.
So every day for the next 31? I’ll be writing into the day and then wildly reading and commenting on the posts of other slicers. I’ll be thinking about the slice of the day, returning to add or edit. I’ll be thinking about what I might write about the next day and take photos to capture a possible slice. I’ll be all in! I am all in. After a long break in writing my letters to Tuvia I have been writing this past week to get back into my writing groove.
For almost two years I began each day writing a letter to Tuvia after his death and I was totally open and free sharing my grieving here with links to Facebook and Twitter and I got such nurturing support but as we marked the end of year 2 without him even though I kept writing the acceptance of his absence in my present forced me to create some distance. I didn’t write a letter a day, and then I only wrote once a week for Slice of Life Tuesdays… and then I stopped writing on Tuesdays… and I got used to keeping my conversations with Tuvia totally private.
And now I’m back and I wonder what will appear on the page. What will I share?
Here we go… Storm coming… can’t lose power!
Bonnie S.
Glad to see you here, Bonnie. I was wondering if you’d be in Mexico this year!
No not in Mexico, not in Israel. It’s been a long winter.
March wouldn’t be the same without you! I love the glimpses into your daily life. So happy to be reading your words daily, again. 🙂
Same back to you friend
I’m so happy you are back. March wouldn’t be the same without you.
You too 🙂
Dear Bonnie, I’m thrilled you’re joining this march! You are an inspiration for the cathartic power of writing. I’m not traveling this month either, but come May 29 I’m off to Ireland for two weeks.
So glad you are back, Bonnie. This challenge wouldn’t be the same without your thoughtful insights and family stories. Looking forward to an interesting month.
Hi Bonnie,
I am glad to read your slice. I was trying to click the link on the Day 1 SOL page and it wasn’t working. I found it here through your twitter post. Not sure what’s going on with the permalink on the SOL page but glad this one worked. I look forward to reading your posts.
Glad you’re here…
Thanks Amy. Back at you.
Your storm reaches here, and my storm reaches there.
Just like the old collaboration days …
🙂
Stay safe
Kevin
No power from 4 hrs. Freaky as it got dark. Good to be back in business.
Think of you often!
Same here 🙂
