Letters to Tuvia Y3/#sol18 3/10: Sooo Tired

Evening T and Slicers,

I’m not expecting this will be a long slice.  I can barely keep my eyes open even though the fire is blazing in the fireplace and I just finished paying all my bills.  But I was up and out early again and that will continue for most of next week.

It’s all good things to get me up and out but when I come home I’ll be a lead weight, sunken into the couch like I am right now.

It was a great morning at a Saturday Seminar at SUNY New Paltz for the Hudson Valley Writing Project and there was almost a visit to my dad but as I left SUNY and turned toward 44/55 and Ellenville I got a call that my dad would probably not be up for a visit.  So I turned right and headed home.  Of course I should have kept with my plan but, there’s tomorrow… another trip up the Thruway…

Good thing I love driving in my Prius and that it knows the roads we travel on.

Hope I’m up for the  Saturday Night Live Cold Open.

It’s funny about this life compared to my Tuvia life.  As tired as I was when I got home earlier today, I would not have much time for couch.  Lunch out and a movie…and then dinner out and I was in it.

I’m adjusting… Great space for chilling….

Bonnie S.

  1. I like the line, “I’ll be a lead weight, sunken into the couch…” Such a vivid image! Hope you get a good rest!

  2. As much as I like getting up early and getting a move on, as my mom would say, this was a lazy morning and day for me. But I like that your early morning was caused by something you enjoy. That makes it so much easier when the alarm goes off.

  3. I know that lead weight feeling oh so well! I hope you get a good night’s rest and tomorrow you get to visit your dad.
