Here’s my grand niece, Eliana Haley Segovia. She showed up on Thursday for Kindergarten registration all decked out. Me, I showed up in my spiffy new Keen, ready to trek and track through Thai mud. I spent months preparing for a Thailand adventure and Eliana, in her way, has been preparing for her move up… her next big adventure- turning 5 in April and leaving pre-school behind for her sister.
New chapters for both of us…and with Thailand #1 under my belt, I’m still thirsty… I’m sure Eliana is dreaming about her moving up…
Even though I have been drafting and trashing, drafting and trashing slices… I think this is what I have been trying to get on paper…
This chapter of my life needs to be filled with adventure… Israel in May, Texas in August- big adventures and one step beyond- small adventures every day… hmmm
My Keens are placed by the door- waiting for our next adventure…
I’m out…
Bonnie
Bonnie. love the adventure comparisons! One foot forward–new adventures are waiting for you both!
I was so desperate for an idea… Eliana is all about style… me, I’m excited with a pair of Keens and some cool tees that fit just right…
Have shoes will travel. May you both have exciting new adventures. Hope your shoes take you many places.
I think you have a lot in common and lot of adventures ahead. Our journeys are different at different junctures of our lives; yet every adventure is just that- an adventure! Can’t wait to see where you go next!
I’m hoping and ready for meaningful adventures
Me too
I love the ways your story and Eliana’s are parallel…both dressed up and ready to go! Adventures obviously run in the family! 🙂
Embracing adventure enriches your life. It’s important to open the door and step out and go as far as you wish for as long as you wish.
